For the rest of you, if you are interested, it seems that Auntie, flushed with the success of the re-launched Doctor Who, has not contented herself with ordering seasons two and three, plus two Christmas Specials, but now we are getting Torchwood, a new 13 part series set in the Who universe, but not featuring the Doctor.
The new series will be set in Cardiff, and features a group of renegade investigators charged by the UK Government with obtaining alien technology that has fallen to earth. The series will star John Bannerman, as Captain Jack Harkness.
Of course, since this is to be more adult themed than Doctor Who, which is targeted at a family audience, expect less restraint from lead writer Russell T Davies.
