There's something not quite right with the Northern Line tonight. Not quite severe delays, or even minor delays, but certainly severe arsing around.

At Euston the indicator board excelled itself by being exactly wrong for every train that came in, and when I finally managed to find a train to High Barnet that wasn't a mobile version of the Black Hole of Calcutta, it made up for it by sitting motionless between stations for extended and unexplained periods.

Then they turfed us off at Finchley Central in the pouring rain to await another mobile sardine canister.

Still, I'm home now, and calmed down. If it wasn't for the fact that I wish to debut it, you'd have to wait until I get properly riled to use my new icon. As it is, that's how I felt a half hour ago...

I got on at Golders Green and was told that they were sorry for the delay but it was because one of their drivers hadn't taken the train into the sidings far enough so it had locked up the whole of the northern line south of us... What twats

Unfortunately, here in the land of hooded thugs with their trousers around their knees, who communicate in grunts such as "Yo, whuss-up," I am an anachronism with my disdainful looks and muttered oaths of "you steaming buggers" and "enunciate, you cloth-headed colonial cretins". Ah, one must fly the flag as best one can.

I have. The clueless nerks just haven't realised it yet. Actually, the nosh over here is bloody superlative, particularly that of the Mexican variety. I have often waxed lyrical about it on my tatty page, the Groove Shack (I would link to it but hecky thump if I know how). Being married to a Mexican, I live in Nosh Heaven. Good-oh!
