Fancy moving maps.

I have just attended a lunchtime seminar on GI Mapping. That is Geographical Information Mapping, for the uninitiated, the idea is that statistics can be overlaid on a map down to council ward level, and then geographic/demographic etc trends spotted.

It's even more fun when the maps are animated to show the passage of time.

What could have been a very interesting seminar was snafued by the fact that the air conditioning wasn't on, so I came close to dozing off on a couple of occasions. Next time I shall take my carpet slippers, a pillow and a blanky.

Despite wandeing out for a blast of fresh air directly afterwards, I am difficulty staying awake.

Still, it's Thursday and although there's no games night tonight, I am going home early.

So there.

If your bosses, like mine, frown on those who drowse during meetings, I do suggest the Two-Dog Special. A hypodermic of three gallons of Mountain Dew injected directly into the "sleep centres" of the brain. The caffeine keeps you so alert that you're the life and soul of the meeting, and the pain makes you shudder and groan at regular intervals. They won't know whether to promote you or shoot you.

Testify, Brother!

Caffeine and/or sugar has been the crutch that has got me through many, many meetings.

That's Mountain Goat to you, Bryan, as discovered during my wedding tour.

And the question was never answered...is Tarps the Devil?

It's a pity that LiveJournal doesn't facilitate the posting of a Wav of Mutley's wheezing laugh after that post..... ;P

I actually have one, and would love to post it on there. Still, I do lack one of Muttley saying "Yehyeh, yehyeh!". But then you'd get all manner of smartypants blogfiends posting Wavs of farts, Twilight Zone music and obscure film quotes. The most frequent soundbyte on Caddy's page would be "boom tish".
