There's sommat wrong with LJ today.

The formatting of my pages has moved to another style entirely, and unless I go to my friends' page by a very round about route, I am unable to see anybody who is not on ellefurtle's friends' list.

Most odd.

The format thing has happened before, but not the log in confusion. Even rebooting the PC hasn't cleared it, though using Explorer instead of Firefox seems to do the trick.

A feature of Firefox that I find quite irritating is its tendency to "remember" where you were, without bothering to reload the page ... so it's entirely possible that you were using mistress Furtle's LJ settings instead of your own ... always assuming that the aforementioned Furtle did in fact use your laptop to access her LJ?

That's a cache setting - it's adjustable under user preferences how long Firefox will remember a page before it goes back to the server for a refresh.

Bryan - try holding down the CTRL key and clicking on refresh / reload. If that fixes it, it's a caching issue. You can fix it yourself, but it will also fix itself over time. (Days rather than years.)

Well it fixed the friends' page issue, but not the format.

I'll leave it for now and see what happens over the next day or so...
