It's a bit blustery out there today, yes indeed.

A chunk of Victoria Street is closed because of wind damage to Westminster City Hall, and Cardinal Place has been closed because of the strength of the wind blowing through it.

As a survivor of the Great Hurricane of '87 I feel myself to be something of a veteran in these matters and so I wandered contemptuously through it all to buy a lunchtime sarnie from M&S. Other than the amount of dry leaves and French tourists blowing around it didn't seem to be that bad.

Now I am back at my desk, being lulled into slumber by the sight of steel lamp posts swaying gently in the breeze.

Err, to add to the full cacophany of happiness, it rather looks as if our television aerial has decided to fall over.

Fek.

I suppose WE'LL have to get the repairs done and bill the landlord.

That on top of the drainage and the door lock.

Weather and TV aerials may come and go, but Paul is right: one must have ones sarnies.

So why the heck didn't I make mine this morning? Rassen frassen...
