No obvious reason

There's a bloke who gets on the Tube of a morning at Totteridge and Whetstone. I haven't seen him for a few weeks because I have been getting the earlier train, but I managed to faff around a bit too much this morning and ended up a few minutes late. I didn't bump into him at Whetstone, but he was waiting at Euston to catch the Victoria Line - must have got the train before me.

Anyway, I don't know what it is about him; I've never spoken to him or anything, but I took an instant dislike to the poor sap when I first saw him, many moons ago. He is in his fifties, dresses in a shabby suit and reads books in one of the Scandinavian languages. He wears reading glasses, so it's quite likely that the smirking, supercilious air he radiates and which irks me so much is probably as much to do with short sight as it is anything else.

I'm not sure why I am writing this, other than to record the fact that his presence annoyed me again, today. I always feel waves of disapproval sweeping my way when he's in the tube train. It clearly says more about me and my paranoia than it does him, but Egads, I dislike the man.
