Having got to the Holloway Road early to meet Furtle for lunch, getting back to the Athenaeum Club has taken much longer and that was despite catching a bus instead of walking the length of Holloway Road. We had rather tasty panini sandwiches in a nice little Italian cafe just down from the college and then mooched around Morrison's in a fruitless search for Eccles Cakes.

The quest continues.

I stopped off in a very small bookshop and obtained a copy of Ian MacDonald's Revolution in the Head which analyses the Beatles' musical output in their '60s context song-by-song. It is a highly regarded book in the sphere and I don't quite know why I haven't picked it up before.

Now I think that I shall hammer some nails in the wall and hang some prints.
