Warm, innit?

caddymanIt is with renewed vigour (ahem) that I find myself back in the office after my Easter holidays. As has become usual after any period away, the computer didn’t work first time – it couldn’t find the server and wouldn’t let me type anything into it after my name. It turns out the solution is to turn it off, take the network cable out for a couple of minutes, replace it and reboot. It all now works perfectly. Why is a mystery to me.
I have decided to wear my summer camouflage as from today, to complement my freshly-shaved melon and goatee, so it is back to the chinos and a first outing for the summer jacket I bought last year but never got around to wearing. Rather Sidney Greenstreet in a 21st century sort of way, I fancy.
It is very quiet at the moment; plenty of work to be done, but precious few bums on seats. This is, to use ‘60s vernacular, a bit of a drag. I quite like not having a lackey to worry about, but at the same time we have had no applications for the vacancy. This does not bode well. I shall extend the advertisement for a week and then we will have to think about going interdepartmental.
