So the benighted Chelski just about managed a 1-0 win over Man-Yoo in the first FA Cup final I have watched for one reason or another in about five years.

Seeing as the two teams are theoretically the two best in domestic competition this season (Premiership Champions v Runners up and League Cup winners) it was some of the most drab football I've ever witnessed and the additional half hour was only bearable because I had cans of Fosters available. They should have spent more time showing us the new Wembley stadium. Still, I'm going to try and get tickets for the League Two playoff finals in a couple of weeks' time, so hopefully I shall get a chance to see them for myself!

In and of itself, you are quite correct. But the fact that the digibox is now connected and showing stuff other than footie, I think that the cocktail sticks laid down their lives in a good cause.

I was planning to go to see the new stadium myself on the 27th. However, that now seems somewhat pointless. Stupid footballers, able to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. poot.

You have my sympathies, Sirrah. I had hoped to be watching the Wanderers there, but to no avail.
