A Penguin's Tale: days six and seven
Sunday, July 15th, 2007 02:12 pmFriday 13th, day five of Opus' epic adventure was quiet; too quiet. No intelligence of his activities was received and we here at the Athenaeum Club feared the worst.
Day six came round and it seemed that our fears had been realised, for there were new pictures showing the flightless waterfowl in various dangers, not least the heinous actions of one Morgan Nash Esq. J'accuse!.
Firstly, through adventure unknown, out intrepid, big-nosed avian somehow finds himself trapped in the web of a metallic spider, facing eternity in its mandibles! Yet he seems curiously tranquil; mayhap the week's activities have inured him to such peril...

The most heinous crime of the week, and one in which the perpetrator is willing to be seen on camera. Our hero receiving a rhinoplasty, upside down in a duck press! Will a war crime trial be called; what is the stance of the UN and NATO?

Escape south is not without its perils.Dr Richard Kimble Opus prepares to jump for his life!

Later, and having evaded pursuit, the herring-breathed avian gives thanks for his deliverance1

Nearly safe, one last flying lesson from those with wings that work:

And finally, on day seven: safety. The white duvet and sheets is a reminder of the ice-flows of his youth.

But when, oh when will our hero return in person to the Athenaeum Club where his friends await?
Finis?
1No. Not the movie.
