Is Gordon Brown thinking of taxing pub quizzes to fund Labour's spending plans?

This lot seem to thinks so: The Daily Telegraph, The Daily Mail, the er.. Morning Advertiser, the FSB Business Forums and the Yorkshire Post.

If it's true, it's a bit naughty and a lot desperate.

I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't just a bit of rabble rousing myself.

I expect (hope) so.

It's a sad reflection on Gordy and Co otherwise.

Ok consider for a moment all the pointy headed people /'Larry the light bulb' types being employed as complete SPODs sorry I mean SPADs ...and then consider if that doesn't sound like the usual sort of bo-lox they come up with.....

Remember proper journalists aren't allowed to just completely fabricate a story without having something to pin it on.

(er.....I'm sorry did I just say that?!)

........I love that Raymond Massey giff !

my reading of the articles is this.

If the pub is making money off the pub quizes (ie keeping the playing fee rather than giving it back to the players, and just making increased drinks money because the quiz is happening) then it adds to the value of the business and should be included in their ratable value.

Don't see nothing wrong with that myself.
