As you know, I never1 do memes. Having seen this one on [livejournal.com profile] mr_h_r_hughes’ LJ (who in turn ganked it from [livejournal.com profile] shaunotd), I decided it looked fun enough that I should condescend to have a go.

Fall Apart

This looks to me like some kind of electric-country-folk combo. Probably a 5 piece band with a pool of regular guest artistes, active between 1968 and 1976. I am tempted to make something up, including perhaps am second album and putting them onto MySpace just to see if anyone ever notices that they are fictional…

1”Never” in the sense of “rarely” or almost never. [ahem]

This is a lovely concept - but where's the 'random' on the wikipedia home page?

Go to the home page, click on "English" and then in the navigation bar on the left there is a 'randon article' option.

I think I may have a go at the weekend when I have a little time: I Need to find some generic 60s and 70s band pics that I can use.

Do you have the lyrics to Douglas Gageby? I am sure I used to sing it years ago - please bear in mind that I am the person who thought that Robert Palmer was singing something called Dickhead to Love

I'd be tempted to say that this is exactly the album that you would would own, and I would run away from. That said, if British Sea Power don't ever record tracks called List of SOE Agents or Red-Tailed Laughing Thrush then I'd be shocked.

Is it just me, or does every tracklisting on this meme sound like it's already been released by BSP or Ween (depending on the UK/American random bias)?

Ah, just me then.
