I am starving hungry. It is still another hour before I my appointment for my blood test and all I can have in the meantime is water. Boo.

The plan is this: in about 20 minutes I shall catch the bus down to Finchley Memorial Hospital, remembering to take a book with me as the buggers are always late. I shall let them stick their vampiric apparatus in my arm and about two minutes after that I shall be on my way back up to Whetstone where I am going to nip into Subway and buy the biggest meatball and cheese sandwich that I can get my hands on.

That noise you hear is my stomach rumbling.

Next time I have to do this I shall make sure the appointment is rather earlier. Despite the long lie in this morning, it's too much of a bind.

I'm amazed that you've actually lasted this long without food. Whenever I go for this sort of thing, I go for the early-dinner/early-appointment route; if nothing else it reduces the caffeine-deprivation headache...
