Not being particularly savvy in these matters, I have to ask you, my brainiest of friends hiow to do the simplest of things intarweb related.

How do I set up a feed from someone else's non-LJ Blog so that it appears on my friends' page.

I appeal to your superior knowledge in these matters, oh wise ones.

Depends on the blog, but whose is it? If it's the one in which a photo of yours featured this morning, it's already syndicated to LJ (as badwitchblog). Otherwise you need a paid account, or someone who has one, and a note of where the RSS feed for the blog is.

copy the url, paste it on this page at the bottom: http://www.livejournal.com/syn/ where it says: 'add feed url'. make sure that the url you use is indeed 'feedable', but lj will tell you if it's not I think.

It turns out that the blog I was after is already set up as a feed so I only had to add it to my friends list in the normal way (!)

I shall flag your advice up, however, so that next time IO want to do something similar I can try your advice first, before worrying about asking people!
