caddyman: (Om)
This weather taxes me, my dears. Yes it does.

This morning it was peeing down like some kind of tropical storm. I don't know if it hailed here as it did in Ilford apparently, (and I have no reason to doubt [livejournal.com profile] jfs) but it was damned heavy precipitation all said. Comparatively cool too.

This afternoon we had some sun for a while and now it's gone very heavy and gloomy. A wind is brewing and I should be less than surprised if we had a thunderstorm sometime in the next hour or so. The only constant today has been the crippling humidity which makes the sweat fountain out of you just by thinking...

They say that ladies don't sweat, they glow. I should therefore like to point out that the lady sitting opposite me on the tube as I came back from the West End this afternoon, was glowing like a pig. If Red Ken ever manages to award his £10,000 prize for a workable method of cooling our antique underground system and then implements it, I shall break the habit of a life time and vote for him next time. (That's four years away, so I'll probably forget, even if he does manage it...).

Oh, and I've misplaced the remote for the TV. I had it last night and now it's gone. Incredible. Oh well, just one more incentive to spend Sunday tidying yon garret.

I now have a scan of a reclining nude I did some 19 years back (it is a sobering thought, realising just how much of my stuff is now old enough to vote), courtesy [livejournal.com profile] boroshan to whom I gave it years ago. I am debating whether to post it up.

I dunno.

Where is that fekking remote?
