Tuesday, August 3rd, 2004 09:04 amI think it might have rained a little during the night. That probably means thunder, but I slept through it.
It feels a bit cooler today, though not so much that I have turned the fan off, and there's no sun just leaden cloud. It is still warm and thunder storms are forecast. I hope that breaks the humidity.
My sweat pores are taking a little time out for R&R. By way of contrast, my tear ducts are getting a fairly reasonable workout, with the uncontrolled yawning that the coffee has so far failed to tackle. During the night someone replaced my eyeballs with big glassy marbles which are just a little to big for my face.
Oh boy, there goes another jaw-cracker yawn.

Tuesday, August 3rd, 2004 07:21 pmWell, thunder and lightning in various degrees all afternoon.
But no rain as far as I can see. If there was any, it was more like the tears after a dry heave than a proper gush. Which I suppose is what the thunder and lightning was: a meteorological dry heave. Really, the weather these days, it's all mouth and trousers.
In the meantime, the garret is sweltering. I closed the window all day in the anticipation of a biblical class storm as forecast. So what little air movement there has been never made it into the bedroom. My joy is unbounded.
