Come on, you Accies!

Well, I'm not sure how we managed it, but the Accrington Cylindricals played and won their first game last night at approximately the same time as Wonderboy Rooney was playing a blinder for ManYoo against Fenerbace (or however you spell it). These events are clearly related, though I would be hard pressed to explain how.

Last season, pre name change, we had to wait until after Christmas for our first win, and it was on account of finishing bottom of the entire league that we changed our name to Accrington Cylindricals. Well as of now, we are officially top of the second division after one game, if only because we are the only team whose name starts with an 'A'...

Mind you, it looked a bit awkward at the start. After two rounds we had scored but a single point. Luckily our opposition were hardly covering themselves in glory with a measly seven points.

Still, we won. And vast quantities of BEER were consumed, so all is well.
