The approach of Yule...

Today Mrs. Z disappeared to Poland for a fortnight.

I am alone in the house with the Polish Brigade ^tm. So far they have been suspiciously quiet; maybe there are fewer of them around: I know at least one has been stranded in Blighty following the collapse of Polonia Airways, but the rest may be slowly disappearing for Christmas.

I have just watched the first disc of Lord of the Rings. Quite definitely worth having with the additional and extended scenes, none of which I've seen before. So, there's only five more discs to go, excluding the six discs of extras, (which probably won't ever get an airing, but since they don't sell the bloody thing without all the extras, what's a man to do?).

To bed, now.
