The Daleks are set to invade toy shops next Christmas: BBC Worldwide have licenced the rights, along with those for the Doctor's sonic screwdriver and various vehicles from Dr Who to Character Options.

Radio controlled, no less.

Coffee and smoke break.

Observations:

  1. Videos are heavier than you would think, in quantity;
  2. I have a lot of videos;
  3. Boxes full of videos are too heavy to carry;
  4. It takes longer to take them back out of boxes than it does to put them in;
  5. Taping them together in blocks of 14, and putting three blocks in a plastic sack is about as many as are easily carryable;
  6. This takes a lot of gaffa tape;
  7. I have run out of gaffa tape;
  8. I still have a lot of videos left to pack;
  9. It's probably too late to buy more gaffa tape today;
  10. Bollocks.

That is all.

Later: In the event, it appears I was being somewhat pessimistic. There is any number of fine Asian establishments on Clapham Hight Street, and despite my having lived here for 15 years, I had not noticed previously that it seems to be their collective primary raison d'ĂȘtre to dispense industrial quantities of gaffa tape to unsuspecting members of the public.

God Bless them, one and all. Yes.
