I want to go back to bed
Tuesday, February 7th, 2006 10:24 amToday’s weather has achieved perfection. This is not to say that it is good weather, or that I would want to wander around basking in tee shirt and shorts1. It is not warm. Equally, it has been colder, wetter, foggier and such. But nonetheless, the weather is perfect of its type.
The chilly/damp balance has achieved equilibrium: with no discernible breeze, the atmosphere has managed to produce the clammy coolness that infiltrates the pores of your skin and then clutches the bones, fingers into the marrow. Normal winter clothing does not keep you warm on days like this.
1Let’s face it, no one wants that.
