I have eaten too much pizza, and probably watched too much football. I am tired, too, which is annoying since I haven't actually been up quite 12 hours as I type this.

I blame the heat.

In the football, Sweden were frankly disappointing against Germany who should have won by at least 7 goals, but for the heroic work of the Swedish goalkeeper. Mind you, a dodgy sending off and a missed penalty hardly helped Sweden's cause.

A break for Dr Who, which I enjoyed (I realise that it is unfashionable amongst most of my LJ readership to admit to liking it, given that most of you insist on trying to compare it with adult-orientated sci-fi as opposed to accepting it as the family show it is), then on to Argentina v Mexico.

An excellent game with a couple of odd decisions by the referee which will no doubt kep the pundits in beer money for some time. The result was expected, but the amount of effort required by Argentina to overcome a very good Mexican side was not.

I guess I shall now have a brief online chat with Miss Furtle and then take a shower and go to bed. This day of lethargy has left me quite worn out...
