Having got up rather late today, we decided that we would indeed go into the West End and take the camera.
It. Was. Very. Cold.
I took a fair number of pictures, but not as many came out as well as I would have hoped, particularly those from down by the river where we went part way across Golden Jubilee Bridge to get a decent view of Parliament and the clock tower holding Big Ben, but there wasn't really enough light for my poor little cyber-shot. I'll post the best of what I have tomorrow after I've sorted through them and tried a little gamma-correction here and there where there appears to be some detail to be dragged from the darkness.
We did a bit of shopping, had a couple of pints and walked a reasonable distance around the West End. I had a fine time in the company of My GirlTM. I think we may do something similar again when the days are longer and the weather finer. Maybe get some pictures of London (buildings, vistas and angles) that wouldn't normally get taken.
I am currently full of curry and quite contented, thanks very much for asking!
