Wartifer II
Thursday, January 22nd, 2009 03:54 pmI am back from the doctors where they have applied the big freeze to the remaining warts - or at least those of splendour; the little ones are not worth the effort, I'm told. Maybe I have to grow them a bit before they are ripe. Ooer.
I am really quite pleased at the moment. Not only did the doctor's appointment get me out of the office early (yes, Dear Reader, I am home in the Carpathia), but tomorrow I go into work having dodged a Divisional Awayday, which will be held at London Zoo (!) and where they will discuss over the day, enough material to take up about an hour and a half in a meeting room back in the office. Traditionally I sit at the back of these things and sleep. People take bets on whether I will fall off my chair or start snoring first.
But tomorrow I shall be in the office and I shall be pretty much the only one there. For once I should be able to clear a heap of stuff that needs doing without being disturbed and I even don't mind the fact that one of the tasks is an unanswerable PQ from that man the Haddock.
Since the awayday is scheduled to finish at 4.30, I shall do the same.
