Dear Lazy Web, your help is needed!!
Friday, January 23rd, 2009 03:05 pmOK chaps, I have a little request for you.
The son of a good friend of mine suffers from a form of autism and the family is very active in promoting awareness of the condition and campaigning for healthcare facilities and such.
The Autism Society has managed to get Cheryl Gillan MP to sponsor a Private Members’ Autism Bill. To make the most of this opportunity, we now need to ensure that at least 100 MPs attend Parliament on Friday 27th February to vote in favour of the Autism. Parliament doesn't usually meet on a Friday, so we must persuade each MP to make an advance commitment to attend and vote: please email your MP and ask them to make this commitment now!
Please do email your MP using this link: http://nas-autism.org.uk/re?l=5sgm7iI38hi2w4I1 and ask your friends and family to do the same.
Further information on the Bill itself can be found at http://www.autism.org.uk/autismbill.
Every little helps, to coin a phrase.
