Geocaching (ii)
Sunday, May 24th, 2009 01:08 amWe failed in our attempt to get a replacement loo-roll holder from B&Q, but we got some metal adhesive, which claims to set in 5 minutes and hold up to 130kg (we use hefty loo rolls here in Whetstone). Somewhat mollified by that and the aqcuisition of more bin bags than any sane person might truly want for a fiver, we wandered back to the Griffin to popnder the location of the local geocache. We had a couple of clues to work with and being new to the entire thing, it took us a while to think it through.
We found the cache, but didn't open it. As one person said in a post on the geocaching site, "there were too many muggles about" and anyway, we didn't have anything to leave in it. I expect we shall pop back and do it properly another day and record the visit properly.
There's a couple more in the area, too. I expect we'll nip out and look for those before looking further afield and for something more difficult.
