Random grumble
Wednesday, November 10th, 2010 11:33 amThere is a trend at this place that has developed recently, for organising meetings, inviting people and then changing the room at the last minute.
It happened this morning. It would have been okay if I hadn’t got in ten minutes late due to the usual London Underground shenanigans. I went to the appointed place ready to apologise for being late, just to find the room empty. Rather than spend an indeterminate length of time wandering around the building looking for people, I just came back to my desk and got on with stuff. About ten minutes later again, the deputy Deputy Director (!) nipped out to see if I was coming to the meeting. At least he was aware that no-one had bothered to circulate the change of venue.
It is very annoying, especially when it is not clear why anyone needed to change the venue in the first place. It clearly wasn’t double booked or anything.
And it was tedious when I got there anyway.
