Well.

Didn't take long for the bubble to burst did it? With all the unrealistic hype we get over English football, I should have been prepared in advance for England crumbling at the Ashes series, but for some reason I was caught off guard.

Not paying attention, clearly. Pretty much like the Test Squad...

To advertise the Dr Who Exhibition opening in February at Olympia2 (I think), the Cybermen invaded London Underground yesterday.

How cool would it have been to have been waiting on the platform when the train rolled up and these guys stomped out?

(If I remember, I will upload the pictures to photobucket tonight and edit the links accordingly - the office browser just ain't up to it, I'm afraid)

Where is everyone today? Is there a holiday that I am unaware of, or has everyone in the UK decided to become honorary Americans and celebrate Thanksgiving? The train to Stratford was empty, the tube between Stratford and Westminster was barely populated and Westminster itself largely deserted. It was only as I walked toward Victoria that crowd numbers came even close to normal.

More to the point, I want to know what happened to the snow that we were promised. Large chunks of the rest of the country are getting it, why not us? Just enough to justify a long weekend, please. I’m not greedy. We have the chilly, lazy winds, the ground is dry so snow would stick, but it does not arrive. If we are having an early winter I want my share.

In other news, Lloyds Bank is crap. You can’t change your address online, which I guess is fair enough, since it could be hacked, but when you ask them to send you a form to register the change of address for a credit card, all you get is a form to change your address on your bank account.

I don’t have a Lloyds bank account. I suppose I’ll have to check a recent bill tonight to see if there’s a place on the back to register new details. So much for the easy way…
