Rusty hinges
Tuesday, May 10th, 2011 11:09 amI think I need an oil change on my knees. Both of them feel weak and squeaky at the moment; it’s not so bad on the flat, and reasonably okay going upstairs, but going downstairs can be a trial as one leg or the other feels like it’s going to give way. If it continues, I shall have to visit the quack, I guess, but I already know he will just tell me to lose weight.
Ah, me. I already know that; what about me poor old pins while I am trying to lose weight? I can’t do all the recommended walking if the undercarriage is ratchety. I think I have a couple of knee supports somewhere – those tight bandages designed to stop your knee cap spinning off and embedding themselves in the wall. I should probably dig those out and try them. It just doesn’t feel right getting all padded up just to work in an office. It’s not a contact sport around here (most of the time).
