Nearly the weekend!
Friday, April 20th, 2012 02:42 pmAnother couple of weeks of this and surely the drought will be over? We seem to be back on track now with proper April weather. A few minutes ago I was staring out of the window and I swear I watched it get darker out there, as if someone was using a dimmer switch.
Still, it’s definitely doing the garden good, though we have some potted plants on the side of the drive that are in a localised rain shadow and we have to keep remembering to pour water over them. Those apart, the rain is coming at just the right time. I planted a load of summer bulbs last weekend and this is just what they need. The spuds are enjoying it too. The garden is getting greener by the day.
And the wisteria we put in a pot so it could climb the frame outside the kitchen is putting out some promising buds, too. Really big fluffy ones: I shall post pictures when they start flowering properly.
