I don’t think these office chairs agree with me.

My legs are fine in the morning when I wander down to the station and I only get twinges after a tube journey if the carriage has been filled to the brim and I have had to sit with my legs twisted around to save having my feet trampled.

But after an hour or so sitting at my office desk, I am hobbling like an old man. My legs are all stiff and achey when I go to the coffee point or anywhere else. If I sit any differently however, to keep my legs from seizing up, it puts my back out slightly. I think I could do with my desk being about four inches higher above the ground and my chair adjusted accordingly. I suspect that I could get the chair from office services if I made enough noise under H&S, but the desk might be more problematic and I don’t want a new, higher chair along with a too low desk as I will be sitting typing at arms length, which seems to be a contributory factor to repetitive stress injury!

Offices are not safe places.

Perhaps you are hobbling like an old man because...

Just a thought.
