Really and truly the final post...

I am sitting at colonel_maxim's table but at my own laptop. I am in the sad remains of the Athenaeum waiting for the movers to come back for the second sweep. It is only now that I appreciate truly how much stuff I/we have accumulated.

The movers arrived at 7.45 prompt. As I type it is 11.10 at night. They have not been slacking. Without them the move would have killed us.

I am about to pull the plug and sign off.

Good night world, I am signing off from the Athenaeum Club really and truly for the final time. The band is on the deck playing 'Abide With Me' and the waters are rising over the bow decking.
