Land Ahoy!

After three nights adrift amongst the flotsam and jetsam of North London, your doughty heroes, Carruthers and Ponsonby, life jackets askew and clothes sodden find themselves safe, rescued from the briny by their new home, the SS Carpathia¹.

We have achieved intermittent internet a day early and having spent a great deal of the week floating around with more boxes than anybody should be required to deal with, are beginning to approach some sort of normality.

At the present moment, we are in our new study/computer room, catching up on LJ and other bits and pieces, sipping on Gin and Tonics.

There is still more to be done, not least the very final trawl of the debris field that was the Athenaeum Club, but we expect will soon have everything ship shape and Bristol fashion. Then, maybe, a couple of days where we can just relax.


¹Believe it or not, we thought of this independently of mezzogiornouno, who clearly thinks along the same well-telegraphed lines. ;-p
