I suspect that this post will largely be of interest to
fencingsculptor, though a couple of others may like to look.
Friday morning I took delivery of the much delayed new Hotwheels Elite Batmobile, a 1/18 scale model of the classic Batmobile from 1965.
August 1965, the Batman TV show Producers approached George Barris of Barris Kustom Cars to have him build a new Batmobile for their new upcoming show. The only catch was the car had to be ready for action in a mere three weeks! Seeing the bat-like qualities of his Ford Futura concept car already had, George felt it was the perfect answer to the quandary 20th Century Fox had created. Three weeks later, in October of 1965, the Batmobile was born and television history was made...
Let's face it, who wouldn't want to drive down the High Street in the Adam West Batmobile?
