Ghost Girl is back, though today she is in a brown dress. Had she a head band, we would have that entire Hiawatha/Minnihaha thing going on around here. Luckily she has clumpy shoes on today and these have undermined her ability to merely shimmer Jeeves-like into existence behind me; I get clumpy warning.

The PDA appears to be the same, though. And she still doesn't speak, just takes notes...

Here's a wacky thought - why don't you ask her what she's doing?

I think the experiment of talking to her might be worth a try... If in doubt, start with the weather.

You know what they say, two people can't be wrong :-)

You're both being very silly.

If I ask her what she's up to, I'll have to think of something else to fuel my increasingly pointless journal entries!

You could go up and introduce yourself as someone entirely fictional.

Claim you're from Torchwood, just in case she's visiting through a time slip.

or you could tell her the truth and say that as the Admiral Lord Coelocanth you think she should tell you what she is doing so you can tell her if she needs to do it. Or lie and say you are just being nosey.

I would have asked by now - have you no women in your office? they will already know.

You must begin some increasingly odd behaviour at once. Place tin mugs on the windowsill to catch the rainwater, carefully transport them to the kettle, boil the water, then pour the cleansed liquid back out of the window. While waiting for the kettle, sing "Crazy" like Pasty Cline am shimmy, just a little bit.

Scoot your chair back from your desk a bit, whip off your shoes and massage your feet making loud relieved noises. "Ohhhhhhhh that's better."

Heaven help me, I think I'm becoming [livejournal.com profile] romney.

On a technical point, if she's Jeeves-like, she should have a cup of tea for you at the correct temperature when she shimmers into existence ...

True, true.

But only the shimmer is Jeeves-like. The demeanour is anything but...
