Obligatory weekend roundup

The Sunday evening rage is upon me again. This is the THIRD time I have typed an entry, and the PC has crashed each time.
Other than technical annoyances, my mood is not helped by the self-inflicted horror that will be a wakeful night on account of me messing up my own sleeping patterns. Beyond that, it's been a quiet weekend.
I have discovered a blister on my right shin, just to the left, off the very bony bit down the front, but disconcertingly close to where I had a grotty infection about 21/2 years ago which also started life as an unexplained blister but turned into something that left a penny sized dent in my shin, quite magnificent discoloration and which took three-four weeks of industrial strength antibiotics to get rid of.
You will therefore understand that I am somewhat dischuffed to find another blister, which has arrived for no apparent reason in the same area of my leg.
It's always my right leg that gives me gyp these days. From the numbness on the thigh resulting from the sciatica I get when I stand still for too long, to the unexplained and transient pains in the ankle and toes. Nothing hurts right now, but you can probably understand why I am less than thrilled at the appearance of this blister which, at the size of about a 1/2penny would in other circumstances be entirely unremarkable.
Oh well, give it a couple of days and see how it develops and then arrange an appointment with the quack if it looks as though it is anything more than it appears.
Other news: Well, as I said above, it's been a quiet weekend. I'm trying desperately not to spend money as I ran out of salary far too early in the month in September. This of course, has not stopped me from acquiring a copy of the Kinks' classic album, Village Green Preservation Society to which I am currently listening. It appeared quite promptly on Saturday morning from Play.com despite having been ordered late on Thursday night. I judge myself to be immensely pleased.
Yesterday, other than watching the footy on telly, I lounged like a Moghul emperor for hours before descending on
romney's place to watch more episodes of The West Wing on DVD than was probably sane. That was the source of my disrupted sleeping patterns, I am now paying for.
Anyway, I have to survive a week at work before disappearing up to Shropshire for a week for my first proper break since Easter.
Right, I'm off before this bloody PC crashes again.

Date: 2004-10-10 05:00 pm (UTC)Probably to doo with artery paths etc?
It's the one the gets cramp if I've active and then sleep flat (I *think*!)
and the one that turned into a purple football a few years ago.
Terraforming antibiotics and worfarin involved.
Undesirable.
Your leg

Date: 2004-10-11 04:49 am (UTC)At the moment it just looks like a blister and is unchanged since I noticed it yesterday.
And it doesn't hurt or anything like that.

Things like that can turn into ulcers

Date: 2004-10-17 07:45 am (UTC)At the moment, 1 week on, it is completely unchanged, neither bigger nor smaller, just an unexplained blister. And it still doesn't hurt or anything.
I am spending a week in Wem, well away from the quack - if it's still there after that, I shall make an appointment - I need my blood pressure checked anyway.
