Will someone explain to me why it is considered unacceptable to assassinate one’s ‘superiors’? Not necessarily for a single, or even a second transgression, but certainly one it has become clear that the stupidity is habitual and ingrained.

Having insisted that we cannot delay (though it would make life operationally easier, with no clear disbenefit¹) to either us or stakeholders, we have had to cram in a meeting tomorrow that would have been better held next week. Having set that meeting and had people turn over their calendars to make it, she then insisted we put it back a half hour. That means the meeting can only last a half hour as necessary attendees have other commitments. So there we are; rearranged again.

Having created all the havoc in the world, we are now informed she has a prior appointment and cannot attend anyway.

Why is it not permissible to put these people out of my misery?


¹A bastard word, but annoyingly, one that more closely approaches the concept than say, drawback, disadvantage or downside.

I would like to pass on a bit of advice that I have at various points found to be both useful and of great consolation:

i) I'm sorry [insert name here: in this case Bryan] Life's just not fair.

I did have another pice of relevant advice here involving a khukri, some vinegar, a dental tooth probe, 2 sheets of the coarsest possible sandpaper, lava-hot chilli powder and an angry ferret, but I think I forgot the order you are supposed to use them so we'll leave it for the time being.....

I mean, in a war, it's scant use to kill a bunch of conscripts when you could be killing their leaders, politicians, generals, colonels, majors, captains, lieutenants, RSMs, CSMs, sergeants ... all the way down to the gung-ho corporals.

I mean at some point people are going to say "Stuff this for a game of soldiers and sod off home".

As part of our "contracter slim down", they have been openly advertising "name a contractor whose job you want"....
