I’m not sure where the weekend went. Did any of you lot snaffle it? I don’t think I got my money’s worth, all told. I mean it was OK as weekends go, better than some, qualitatively, but it just upped and went and here I am back in work, when I feel as though I should still be savouring Friday night or at least Saturday night.

I was a bit late dragging myself out of bed on Saturday – about 11.30 – so everything else just got put back accordingly. I did my chores, but at the end of them it was too late to contemplate wandering down to the West End for anything meaningful, so we just stayed in and watched telly.

Just as suddenly it was Sunday morning. We got up, had breakfast, and suddenly it was lunchtime and the visit of clan [livejournal.com profile] wallabok. It was good to see them all again, as always and their first trip to the Carpathia. It seems that remote control Daleks, Nigel the Kitchen Shark and Gollum impressions are the way to entertain two kids with a combined age of 10. That said, having set the pattern, I discovered that I could dispense with the silly voice and get a laugh anyway. I’m not sure what that says about yours truly.

Anyway, that bracketed a trip to the Griffin for BEER and lunch, during which, in addition to various burgers, we absorbed a free (my favourite) cheese cake.

By about 4.30, the visitors had left. Somehow I recall giving away two TARDIS money boxes – I’m not sure how that happened – and the effects of beer, burger and chips and cheesecake dropped us gently into a carb coma that lasted far too long and saw the remainder of the afternoon and early evening evaporate.

More telly – we are romping through the Campion – and a helping of home made Bombay taters later and suddenly it’s bed time and then up and to work.

So, as I asked earlier, did you snaffle my weekend?

I snaffled it, took it to Bath and used it to spend time with friends, take lots of photos, and fall in love with the city :)

We used a bit of it for extra time at a meet up of bookcrossers.
Oh and can there be some sort of warning on yopur blog next time you are going to drop phrases like gave away two TARDIS moneyboxes. I was reading aloud to Mr M., as I often do, while he plays his glof tournament online I read him my friends page and when I read that he missed a shot - he will not be amused if he loses because it is a guild tournament - Warcraft? pthewy on your fantasy! this is a golf game with witches and magic and all sorts of stuff.
Anyway, Mr M was "Shocked" by your words - Miss Emily has "Shocked" as her favourite word this week and she engineers the conversation so that she can use it in context.
