caddymanEaster Monday Bank Holiday. What's it used for? Well, in the case of the Carpathia it was used for Spring Cleaning. Well, I say Spring Cleaning - we did the living room good and proper: the blinds got a dusting, the shelves and surfaces received a polishing and the rugs were taken outside and beaten to get the dust out of them. The hoover finished the job and apart from the blue throw on the futon sofa, everything is back in place and looking er... pretty much as it did before.
But we know it's all clean, so that's OK.
After that, we sort of gave up, though while the hoover was out we finished the whole of the downstairs floor.
I don't like Spring Cleaning.
After popping out to the shops to stock up a few necessities, I sat and kept an eye on the football on Sky Sports News. Wolves were playing Derby away at Pride Park and after an early show of authority, Wolves seem to have trailed off a little, letting their initial 1-0 lead fall away leaving them trailing 2-1 after 55 minutes. The reviewer at that point stated baldly that he saw that there were more goals in the game, but only Derby would be scoring them. Wolves ran out 3-2 winners and if they can beat QPR next week, they will be promoted to the Premiership. The hack is clearly overpaid.
I think I shall pootle a little now; maybe retire to the bedroom, collapse in a heap and read a bit more of my Lennon biography. I could write a third paragraph of the story I have started, but frankly I don't feel moved to right now, though we have some fun ideas to slot in when I do get going!
