Return of the farce

It is a bright and sunny day here in the capital (Das Kapital?) and for once, my hayfever seems less burdensome than of late. It hasn’t gone, but it is somewhat reduced for now at least. I think Furtle might inadvertently be channelling it for me, as hers this morning was more troublesome. Happily she is not in the office today so won’t have to venture past the more aggressive varieties of fauna that are in full bloom right now.

It’s been a while since I felt the need to grumble about the Northern Line, but today we return to the theme. For the first time in ages, I saw CSG radiating Scandinavian misery across the platform – I don’t think the sun agrees with him. There were (are?) severe delays on the Northern Line this morning. Reality has warped the tracks or something between East Finchley and Highgate. Instead of half an hour, it took forty-five minutes to get to Euston with all the knock-on troubles that brings to the timing of my journey.

Now I don’t have time to drink my coffee before the bloody boring divisional presentation now starting.

I loathe and detest the Northern Line. Which is why, despite living near Barnet Church, I drive to Arnos Grove and get the Tube in to work from there.

There's something just plain WRONG about the journey from East Finchley up to High Barnet...

(Though, having said that, I'm having to do that journey on Monday evening; and am not looking forward to it at all.)
