out of practice

Poot.

I am so horribly out of practice that I am finding it difficult to come up with a revised sketch and partial redesign of a character that I originally drew in the early '90s for colonel_maxim. I have always had difficulty drawing hands, unless I am copying from something, but right now feet seem to be eluding me too (hah!).

I had it in mind to post up the original design from 1991 and the revised design from now for comparison, but that may have the wait while I remind myself of the basics of drawing. It's in there somewhere; I just need to blow the cobwebs off, dust the skills down and polish off the rust. I knew this would be a problem and I think that's why I have put it off for so long. Still, I've started now and I think for the sake of my own pride (it's not as if anything else is riding on it) I should at least get part way back to waht I could do when I sketched and painted regularly.
