caddymanThe BBC reports that Farrah Fawcett, poster-girl extraordinaire of the 70s and early 80s and one-time Charlie's Angel has died of cancer, aged 62.

Fawcett ( Fawcett-Majors as she was at the time, being married to Lee Majors, the Six Million Dollar Man) only made a single season of Charlie's Angels before moving on to other things, but it wasn't until she played the part of a battered housewife in 1984's The Burning Bed that she broke away from type casting and made directors take her seriously.
From pin-up girl...
