Furtle essayed a recipe today in the culinary field.

In a burst of enthusiasm, she advanced on the kitchen whilst I wisely hid upstairs and faffled around on the computer. The object of her intent was to bake almond biscuits, something biscotti in nature. Delicate and round, thus:



They certainly didn't lack for enthusuasm or ingredients and despite what the recipe suiggested, the batter produced rather more examples than intended or anticipated. So here is what we got:



Not quite the delicate little morsels we were hoping for, but tasty and almondy, nonetheless. A trifle hard, too. Armoured Biscuits, perhaps. I like them; very tasty.
