Edward Woodward has died according to Auntie.

He had been ill for some time with various ailments, including pneumonia.

According to Wikipedia, Woodward appeared in over 2,000 television productions, but he is best known of course, for Callan and the Equaliser on TV and the cult movie, The Whicker Man.

Obituary.

I used to love Callan.

I'm feeling old.

My parents had (have?) at least one of his albums (on cassette, I think). He was a fine tenor.

I liked The Equaliser but it was always a bit 'light' after Callan, during which Ewar Woowar slew Darth Vadar with a single blow.

It won't be the same without Ewar Woowar - although he deserves to be remembered for his appearances rather than the 'd'-less version of his name.
