Despite some ropy scripts courtesy Russell T Davies, there have been some excellent moments for the Tenth Doctor over the past few years - primarily thanks to Steven Moffat. It's a pity we couldn't have had one full season with Tennant under the supervision of Moffat and the new team.

But hey ho.

Anyway, the fanboy in me wouldn't let the impending regeneration go by without me drawing and posting up a portrait of the out-going Doctor, and since today is my last day at home before going back to work (albeit for 2 days):

The picture was sketched in pencil, scanned and then worked on in Paint Shop Pro. I could have carried on fiddling, but I wanted to keep some atmosphere to the picture and I have a tendency to over do it if I don't tell myself to stop and stand back...

Hope you like it.

Like it? I love it.

You should do more of this sort of work.
Much more.

How about a pencil sketch/portrait of each of the Doctors?

The best Moffat stories play with the concepts of time travel in a way that's refreshing. Whether it's the idea that two time travellers might be on entirely different stages of their relationships when they meet, or just the whole of the excellent Blink it's that, and some great dialogue, that keeps me coming back for more Moffatt.

It's easy to bash Davies. It's also easy to forget that Russel T. brought the show back, and that there are some great stories in the run so far. I don't always see eye-to-eye with his writing, but that's mostly because he can't seem to write a satisfying ending for toffee. Tennents Who has become a little stale, a little surface, but it still entertains.

I hope the new lad(s) are up to the job.

Drawing - nice suggestions of arrogance and vulnerability, if I may be allowed a moment or two of pretenststion.
