Hmm.

I don't know what is happening up town tonight, but on my way back round from romney's place 20 minutes ago, three police cars raced off up toward the river in a fury of sirens and blue light. The third nearly caused a pile up by shooting the lights on red.

That wasn't the problem; it was the fourth, which, with no sirens, and no blue lights, nearly atomised me as I crossed the road with the crossing on green.

I hope that whatever they were doing was actually worth the damage to my nervous system.
