Delete

It always catches me out when I try to respond to a post only to find that between me reading it and hitting the ‘reply’ button, the author has deleted or otherwise hidden the text so I can’t post it.

That’s fair enough, there is usually a good reason why the post is removed – I’ve had second thoughts myself, more than once – but it would be nice if LJ could flash up a warning that you are now wasting your time, then you could get on and waste it more productively…

Was that me - sorry, I just decided I was sort of stating the obvious so it was a bit of a waste (and LJ is always dead on Fridays anyway)

It was - and I was agreeing with you! - no need to apologise, though!

I just think it would be a useful function if LJ could squirt a note on screen if that happens while someone is responding, so they don't have to!

Frankly, the ancient tech we have here, it prolly wouldn't work anyway.
