I managed to get one more shelf finished and a single nail partially hammered into the final one before next door's baby woke up and we were stopped in our tracks by a polite knock on the door.
Leaving the office late and then stopping off for a couple of pints of restorative will do shocking things to your schedule. I shall finish the task tomorrow (well, strictly speaking, tonight) and then I can display all the relevant tranqilments in my own little clutter corner much, I suspect, to Furtle's delight.
Here endeth the entry.

Date: 2010-07-20 10:45 am (UTC)I tend to figure that DIY is perfectly reasonable before 20:00hrs. Last minute drilling and hoovering up to 20:30 and then down tools by 21:00.
Bit difficult though if Junior's room adjoins the work zone and isn't well.... :o(

Date: 2010-07-20 10:55 am (UTC)The last shelf will take less than 10 minutes when I get home tonight; all I have to do is line it up and hammer in 31/2 nails.
