Ilford mosquitoes seem happier to snack on me than their counterparts elsewhere.

I have another bite on my leg. May have to blitz the house with Raid, which seems a bit much, I guess, for the odd insect here and there.

But they are very annoying!

bites on legs - unless you are cavorting in the garden in short shorts, usually mean fleas. I have a thing about them. We were flea free for years until I cat sat for a month for an indoor cat who never went out. He wore a flea collar too.
I still de-flea my house just in case.

I'm pretty sure they're mosquitoes. We've swatted a few - including in the bedroom - and they tend to chew on us at night - me most recently because I have been sleeping on top of the duvet because of the heat and my legs have been bare.

We may have to rethink the idea of a garden pond if this keeps up. Don't know where the buggers are coming from; there's no obvious standing water anywhere around.

Then we shall have our frog pond and hope to attract dragonflies in the fullness of time. We were hoping for that anyway, but if they will keep the mozzies down too, so much the better!

For the best part of 10 years I bnever had mozzies in New Addington...but as soon as my neighbour built pond I know am beset with the blighters. Especially now when sleeping with the windows open.

Last week I was eaten alive.

Any water (especially still) will give rise to mozzies...

You could try spraying yourself with insect repellant?

Is true. And maybe the best short term solution.
