caddyman: (not well)

My ears are still playing up, though the odd sensitivity to noise seems to be worse in the street, where it is much louder anyway. Stay inside as much as possible, then.

Whatever’s wrong with them seems to have moved a bit more to the inner ear: when I changed from the train to the underground at Stratford, I felt momentarily light headed and then for a couple of minutes just walking felt like I was on the deck of a ship. After sitting on the tube carriage with my eyes closed, it seemed to be somewhat better by the time I got to Westminster and I walked to Victoria without incident, though my legs feel stiff and leaden. As yesterday, I am also radiating heat like a furnace, but don’t seem to be running a temperature. I certainly don’t feel feverish.

So my personal operational status board has the lights in the yellow, occasionally flickering into amber. Nothing is green and nothing is red. I think I shall try and go home early tonight.

Seconded.

It might also be something completely different, but if you feel the need for an interesting, fairly original maladie I recommend: http://medical-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/Morbus+meniere which I happen to indulge myself in at times. It is also sometimes called "The Astronaut Disease"; an information that several old friends who insist on suggesting I belong in outer space rather than on a planet the gravity fo which I occasionally find disturbing and am not really comfortable with, were deeply amused about.

I've had 3 lots of labrynithitis which sounds very related.

The last one I actually thought I was dying because I couldn't even sit on a chair, and couldn't just collapse on the floor. I had many many drugs to get better.

Go and see the Quack - you don't want to be very poorly sick chap - no rly you don't

Actually, a lot can come from the neck/back when someone is dizzy gillespying, most of my tendencies to turn left when trying for tory came from falling off a pony aged ten, so do come off that horse and stop riding at least for the moment being til you know whether you are seriously ill or just in need of a good ear shower. Ah, why aren´t we all ...nurses? And he has got that soft skin, too!

It's true; my co-workers remark on it. [/manly]
