Shredder sans turtles

Having wasted 90 minutes of my life that I will never get back watching England and Holland churn out one of the most excruciating internationals I can remember, I switched to Paramount and watched Everybody Loves Raymond. Not one of the better episodes, so I decided to cut my losses and do something productive.

Well, that didn't happen per se, but I have just finished a very cathartic two hours or so going through old bank statements and the like, and pushing them through the shredder. By God, that's a lot of paper. Anyway, that's done, and a little less to do before Saturday.

Tomorrow, I shall ditch a load more stuff in plastic sacks and throw them away. I must remember also to pay a visit to [livejournal.com profile] romney's gaff to make sure it hasn't been repossessed, burnt down, burgled or similar. After that, I think wash up all the spare crockery and cutlery, and separate out what is mine from what is Mrs. Z's. That won't be hard; mine's the good stuff.

I have Friday off for some very final chores, which will include buying new bedding, I think. Failing that I can just shove what I have through the laundry and buy some more after the move. Dunno yet; I'll decide on the day. Surprise myself.

I have a couple of old speakers here and I don't know what to do with them - take with or leave behind. I expect I'll leave them behind, enough is enough.

Right. Enough time wasting, I can get and do a little bit more before turning in.

Ciao4now, everybody peeps.

God that England match was rubbish rubbish rubbish! With Wright-Phillips in a three man attack and the Dutch as opponents I was hoping for a much better spectacle than the mind-numbing tosh both teams served up.

And what the hell was the point of playing Johnson on the right of midfield when he is an old-fashioned striker? All we found out was that he is nowhere near as good at putting a cross in than he is at nodding them down and scoring goals.

Madness.

It wasn't a fair debut for either of the new boys, and the rest of the team were clearly nmore worried about their perms than the footie.

Aye, the Johnson business was pretty daft. He could do something for England up front but there's no way he can play on the flanks. Like you say, too early to judge him or Downing and far too many people just treating it like a kickabout.
